Sumner Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Clear Water Air Park is a good place to camp nearby; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Hershel Run. There is a nice hiking trail close to Sumner Pond called the Lakeview Trail; a nice spot for whitewater paddling is Brushy Fork. A quick tour to Brushy Fork in close proximity to Sumner Pond is a wonderful idea.
