The skiing at Snow Trails is delightful; camping is available at Freedom Valley Park and Campground. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to Staples Pond you'll meet some folks from Norwalk for sure, and dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Elyria.       Staples Pond is in the vicinity of Staples Pond Dam which is a gorgeous location positively worth checking out; get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Vermilion River. An average amount of rainfall falls at Staples Pond; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. A quick visit to Southwest Branch Vermilion River close to Staples Pond is a fine idea, and camping at Indian Trail                  Campground is always a pleasant experience. At Staples Pond during the summer months highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's.
