There's good hiking along the Old Pine Trail; Sproat Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Forest Haven Campground is a great place to camp nearby. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Sproat Lake; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Lots of people from Chillicothe come to Sproat Lake, and hiking is a popular       thing to do around Sproat Lake; Acorn Trail is a glorious local trail. So much amusing stuff to do here at Sproat Lake, too glorious to be true. A lake close by is Southern Silica Pond Number Two, and a good nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Jackson. Why not take a refreshing hike along the The Gulf Trail, and Buffalo Trail Camping Area is a brilliant local campground. Pigeon Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and Sproat Lake Dam is                  lovely. This lake is so wonderful. Jackson-Days Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest; a glorious spot to check out is George Hollow. High temperatures at Sproat Lake through the summer months are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Sproat Lake plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
