Whitewater paddling is splendid on Grand River, and Stoney Glen Camp is a glorious campground nearby. Throughout the summertime months here at Spring Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while Spring Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Spring Pond is not the only place nearby,
Kittredge Pond is a nearby lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Beach Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Spring Pond; Erie Trail is a magnificent local trail, and Heritage Hills Campgrounds is a great local campground.
If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. Dry warm beds await you at North Wind Motel, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Alpine Valley. This

lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Paine Creek is so much fun. If you need a place to stay Quail Hollow Resort is a great choice; Spring Pond is right by the Iroquois Trail.
If you get bored of Spring Pond, you could also have a look at close by Montmere Lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Hidden Valley Golf Course. Spring Pond gets a normal amount of precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

Lake Estabrook
14 miles away
What's left of the lake is on Rt 700, NE of Parkman, OH at Latitude: 412256N and Longitude: 0810431W. Around yr 2000, the dam at the West end of the lake broke and the lake drained. All that's left is the creek that was originally dammed to make the lake, along with the broken dam. Camp Chicagami is a Boy Scout camp located on the shore of where the lake used to be. It was about a 30 acre lake, and it's a shame that it's gone now....

La Due Reservoir
15 miles away
This is a relatively large lake (1500 acres) located in NE Ohio, at the intersection of state Rt 422 and Rt 44. The lake is managed by the Ohio Division of Wildlife. There are no camps or parks on the shore of the lake. The lake is part of the city of Akron water supply system. Access to the lake is limited to boating/fishing, and gasoline motors are not allowed. If you want to fish this lake, bring two trolling batteries as the lake is large. Fish to be caught include largemouth bass, crappie (white and black), channel catfish, yellow perch, bluegill, walleye and the occasional northern pike (rare, but according to the boathouse attendant, there are a few in the lake)....

Alpine Valley
20 miles away
I love the mogul field up on top of the hill and the half pipe. My kids love the tubing slope....
