Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Creek, also East Branch Reservoir Dam is worth visiting while you're here. If the weather is nice here at Spring Lake, you can go for a hike along the Beach Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Papa Joe's Family Campground is a pleasant location to camp. Why not camp at Windrush Hollow Camp since you're here at Spring Lake, and if you want to       play some golf, you're in luck because Rolling Green Golf Club is close at hand. If you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Express Inn is a great choice; on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Iroquois Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Spring Lake, you could also stop at striking East Branch Reservoir; going for a hike along the Erie Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Renaissance Quail Hollow Resort                  is a splendid place to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Paine Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. The annual rainfall here at Spring Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is September, and February meanwhile is the driest month. At Spring Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 30's while Spring Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski!
