    In Ohio there are many beautiful lakes, Spring Haven Lake is one of them. Spring Haven Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. You'll meet a lot of folks from Canton-Massillon here, and Campers Paradise is a brilliant campground nearby. Golf can be played at Atwood Lake Resort Golf Course. Lakes are brilliant; Little Lake in the Woods is a lake that's in close proximity  
   to Spring Haven Lake.
Summertime highs at Spring Haven Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Spring Haven Lake sink into the 10's. Atwood Lake, situated in Tuscarawas and Carroll counties, is one of the state's top sailing and boating attractions. Managed by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, the lake was constructed in the 1930s for flood reduction and water conservation, but has turned into an outdoor recreational paradise. Boating, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, hunting, swimming and more are among the reasons visitors make their way to Atwood Lake each year. A 600-site campgrounds at Atwood Lake Park accommodates visitors for a weekend, a week, month or more. The park also is home to a full schedule of activities and events each year from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Two full-service marinas are located on the lake to serve visitors and guests. Reservations can be made by e-mail at atwood@mwcdlakes.com. (The MWCD also owns Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center, a 104-room full-service resort with a golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts and even 17 four-bedroom cottages located right beside the lake).

I caught a big Channel cat on some doughball here. 'Tis a family secret. But I'll tell you anyway. You take one part water to 2 parts corn meal and then thicken or thin as needed. Then add some vanilla for extra flavor. Very good for catfish as well as carp....
