The beauty of Smith Pond attracts many people from all around. The annual rainfall here at Smith Pond is about average; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. At Smith Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, regularly in the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Smith Pond has to offer, you can camp at Summit Vision, and glide down the rapids of Olentangy River in a kayak. that you need to camp here for a while, Tree Haven Camp Grounds is a perfect spot for that. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Easton Area is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two; you can go for a hike on
the Sassafras Horse Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Scioto River offers some glorious whitewater. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The fine people of Columbus like to hang
out nearby, and a lake close by is Hoover Reservoir. At Smith Pond Dam close to Smith Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see; playing golf is lots of fun at Gahanna Golf Course.
