This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Huntington, Wv is a great spot to spend a night or two. Sky Lake is a good site of typical rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. Bent Creek is in close proximity to Sky Lake and is always a bliss to have a look at, and Beech Fork State Park is a delightful       local campground. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Sky Lake. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Twin Lake is a lake nearby; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Mud River. During the long summer days at Sky Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows all through the winter for Sky Lake tend to be in the 20's.                  This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Twin Lakes, and playing golf is lots of fun at Sugarwood Golf Club. Take a hike on the Deer Hollow Trail, and you're sure to come across some good people from Huntington-Ashland here. Sky Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Ashland/Huntington West KOA is a magnificent location to camp nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Natural Gorge Trail.
