What a nice lake Simms Pond is. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Crowne Plaza Hotel Dayton, Oh is a fine choice, and whitewater paddling is great on Caesar Creek. Why not camp at Spring Valley Frontier Campground since you're here at Simms Pond; you can go for a hike on the Beech Ridge Trail. The annual rainfall here at Simms Pond is about average; through May this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.

Don't forget to take a perfect little spree to Mad River, and during
your tour here you'll meet some people from Dayton for sure. Camping is available at Miller's Gun Club and Camp Grnds; a magnificent close by hotel is Doubletree Hotel Dayton-Downtown.
This lake is so wonderful. There are magnificent spots to explore along the Heron Run Trail; Country Club of the North is a tremendous golf course nearby.
