If you are in Miami county it's always a good idea to stop by Silver Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Silver Lake; through June this area sees the most rain while January is generally the driest month. Summer at Silver Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Silver Lake tend to be in the 10's.

This lake is so wonderful. Hidden Lake Golf Course is a golf course in close proximity to Silver Lake; a splendid close by hotel is Comfort Inn Wright
Patterson. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Enon Beach Recreation Park since you're here at Silver Lake, and drift down the rapids of Little Miami River in a kayak. This is a popular location for people from Dayton, and
if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Huber Heights is a delightful choice.
Hiking along the Possum Hollow Trail is good fun, obviously you could also pop by Medway Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.

Swift Run lake is one of 3 lakes in the city of Piqua water system. It is an excellent fishing lake, best fished with a small aluminum boat or canoe. The lake has an electric motor only restriction. Bank fishing is allowed in designated spots only. The lake has good populations of panfish and catfish, although the panfish tend to run small. There are some large crappies & bluegills, but you will have to catch 50 or 60 to get 15 of keeper size. Best bet for panfish is April and May. Bass fishing in this system is excellent. Good numbers of quality fish are caught from mid April until November. Thelakes have largemouth's up to 8 pounds, with numbers of fish in the 2 to 3 pound range.... |
