High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Shipman Pond are in the 10's. There's so much to do here at Shipman Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Roosevelt is a glorious site for that; a swamp like Mentor Marsh close to Shipman Pond has lots of exciting things to see. Take a side trip to Grand River, and after a long day outdoors Value Place Mentor is a great location to spend a night or two.
