You can take a little trip to Shelton Lake Dam if you're here at Shelton Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Port Lounge and Campground is a fine place to camp. Take a look at close by Cranberry Marsh, and get wet paddling on Rocky Fork. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Buckeye Lake, and why not camp at Buckeye Lake/Columbus East KOA since you're here at Shelton Lake. If       you're here at Shelton Lake, do take a trip to Custers Point, and playing golf is lots of fun at Harbor Hills Country Club. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Shelton Lake.
