In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Fork of Mohican, and a forest nearby is Memorial Shrine Forest Preserve. Really great skiing awaits you at Snow Trails. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Schneider Lake; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months is January. While you're here at Schneider Lake you will meet lots of folks from close       by Mount Vernon; Holiday Inn Express Mt. Vernon, Ohio is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Schneider Lake is Butler/Mohican KOA, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Mansfield. Kokosing River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby, and camping is available at Rainbow Springs Family Campground. Yeah, come here to Schneider Lake for a good time. Skiing at Clear Fork is one of those things you                  just have to do; you can take a little visit to Schneider Lake Dam since you're here at Schneider Lake. Summer at Schneider Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's.
