This lake is so wonderful. Eastern Ohio Research Development Center Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore; after a long day outdoors Baymont Inn and Suites Cambridge is a great place to spend a night or two. Take a hike on the Cherry Tree Trail, and this is a popular site for folks from Cambridge. While you're here       at Schafer Lake, you could also take a look at scenic Caldwell Lake, and Best Western Caldwell Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Schafer Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for Schafer Lake tend to be in the 10's.
