You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Prairie Lake. Skiing at Clear Fork is one of those things you just have to do, and glide down the rapids of Licking River in a kayak. If you need a place to stay The Place Off The Square is a nice choice; there are plenty of folks from Mount Vernon here at Prairie Lake. A delightful spot to camp here at Prairie Lake is Hidden       Hill Campground, and paddling on Rocky Fork is so much fun. Dog Hollow Run is close to Prairie Lake and is always a pleasure to stop by, and camping at Camp Ohio is always a wonderful experience. This lake is so wonderful. Courtyard By Marriott Newark is a great site to get some rest, and if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Licking Springs Trout & Golf Club. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Prairie Lake, and the                  night is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Prairie Lake.
