Go for a hike on the Sassafras Horse Trail, and you can stay the night at Cross Creek Camping. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Minerva Lake Golf Club is nearby, and a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Columbus-North, Ohio. This lake is so wonderful. Scioto River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Ohio State University Golf Course Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at.

A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Poste Lake; during July this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to Poste Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Whitewater paddling is fine on Olentangy River, and Poste Lake is a location with many visitors from Columbus.
