Pops Lake is always a pleasure to visit. A great deal of rainfall falls at Pops Lake; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most; January meanwhile is the driest month. So much cool stuff to do at Pops Lake, so little time. Lots of folks from Huntington-Ashland come to Pops Lake. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Pops Lake get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter

It's a perfect idea to pop by Clean Fork, it's right next door to Pops Lake, and Fox Fire Resort is a fine campground nearby. On a wonderful day at Pops Lake you can take a hike along the Natural Gorge Trail; Comfort Inn Barboursville is a good place to get some rest. Deer Hollow Trail; Beech Fork State Park is a glorious local campground. After a long day outdoors Best Western Huntington Mall Inn is a great site to spend a night or two, and get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Mud River.
