Near Poore Pond you come across a golf course called Holly Hills Golf Club, and camping is available at Miller's Gun Club and Camp Grnds. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Poore Pond Dam while you're here at Poore Pond, and there are plenty of folks from Dayton here. Poore Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rain; May is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
