Go for a hike on the Beechnut Loop Trail; a lake close by is Stoneybrook Farm Lake. Going for a hike on the Lakeview Trail is always a delightful adventure, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hall's Creek. The amount of rain that falls at Poore Pond is close to the national average; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the       months is January. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Centerville, Oh; you'll meet a lot of people from Dayton here. An interesting thing to take a look at in the neighborhood of Poore Pond is Poore Pond Dam, and Caesar Creek is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Throughout the warm months, highs generally are in the 80's at Poore Pond. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in                  the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Poore Pond temperatures dip to the 10's.
