Some fine nature is available in Memorial Shrine Forest Preserve, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kokosing River. The skiing at Snow Trails is brilliant. From a precipitation point of view Pleasant Hill Lake is a pretty typical spot; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. This lake is so       wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Clear Fork is in close proximity to Pleasant Hill Lake, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Clear Fork of Mohican. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Mansfield; if you're popping by from Ashland, you won't be the only one. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Pleasant Hill Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come                  with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Pleasant Hill Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. So many fun things to do here at Pleasant Hill Lake, too great to be true. If you need a site to stay Ashland - Days Inn is a good choice, and why not camp at Butler/Mohican KOA if you're here at Pleasant Hill Lake.
