Smith's Pleasant Valley Canoe Camp Cabins
The Smith's have been great to us & we will continue to camp with them come hell or high water; which was the latter case. Despite the fact that they had a freak flood & had major damage they showed concern & compassion to their campers. Before the flood they had a very clean, friendly, fun top notch park. Given time they will repair the damage & have a great campground again. In fact they are well on their way and we wish them well....

Kokosing River
13 miles away I Have been paddling the Kokosing for 15 years and have lived in the area all my life. I have started in Millwood and landed at Zuck in 7 minutes. Water level was at 13ft mark on bridge at Millwood. I have also canoed across the field at riley chapel clear up to 715 to take our boat out. My ex-husband and I spent every weekend on the river. I have photos in February at the cave falls off hazel dell rd. also would like to know where the name grove falls came from? The kokosing changes every year, my father worked at the sand plant for 35 years it used to be white sand bottom and full of snakes. There is a lot of history to the area, we also made it a yearly event to go down the river on new years day to ring in the new year. I have been to Kentucky on the elk horn creek, class 5 white water, they knew of the Kokosing river....
Snow Trails

Lake wapusun Campground
15 miles away 2 PHOTOS I like to camp at Lake Wapusun Because they are away from all the tourist areas and you can really enjoy nature. They have a really big campgrounds with I think 120 acres. There is great fishing and the lakes are very nice. Check out the fish my uncle caught.... I like the whole camping part of lake wapusun, but they don't keep the lakes cleaned up so you can fish. They need to do Alot of upgrading and cleaning of ALL the lakes....
Whispering Hills Campground
17 miles away We just returned from a week of camping, and rate this campground 9.5 out of 10. The staff keep everything well-maintained. There is a large pool that our kids lived in all week. The bathrooms are clean. There is a free 9-hole miniature golf course, frisbee golf course, basketball court, volleyball net, petting zoo, fishing pond, paddle boats, playground, and small game room, so there is plenty for the kids to do. Did I say that everything is clean and well-maintained? There is a small store on-site that surprisingly has a lot of items you may need, and their prices are reasonable. There are lots of activities close by: Canoeing, horseback riding, amish cooking (we really like the Swiss Chalet in Charm), small town shopping, and much more. We obviously highly recommend it. Visit their web site at www.whisperinghillsrvpark.com. The only criticism I can think of is that our campsite was a little small for three tents, but we managed. The staff was friendly and helpful....
