There is a splendid hiking trail next to Pine Lake called the Dogwood Trail. The yearly rainfall here at Pine Lake is about average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. At Pine Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For       the period of the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and overnight lows at Pine Lake during the wintertime generally plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and glide down the rapids of Little Beaver Creek in a kayak. Pine Lake is a spot with many visitors from East Liverpool-Salem, as expected you could also have a look at Beaver Lake if you're here; it's                  not far at all. Terrace Lakes Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and do stop by Pine Lake Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Youngstown (N. Lima/Boardman) is a perfect site to get some rest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Beaver Creek. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do close to Pine Lake. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Snyder Bog is right close by; Whispering Pines Executive Golf Course is a delightful golf course close by. Stay the night at Cherry Valley Camp Ground; going for a hike on the Vondergreen Trail is always a perfect adventure. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Pine Lake?
