There's so much to do here at Pine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buffalo Trail Camping Area is a good site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Americas Best Value Inn is a great site to get some rest, and if you came to camp Old Mans Cave Campground and Picnic Area is a delightful site to do that. What a site this is for outdoors people. After       a long day outdoors Christopher Inn & Suites is a fine place to spend a night or two, also Pine Lake Dam is worth checking out while you're here. Summer at Pine Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Pine Lake plunge into the 10's. From a rain point of view Pine Lake is a relatively typical site; most                  of the rain falls during May; the driest of the months is January. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Pine Lake; East Rim Trail is a wonderful local trail, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Hocking River. There's great hiking along the Gorge Trail, and if you want a little side visit, try Carney Hollow.
