    Why not stop by Piedmont Lake if you're passing through these parts. High temperatures at Piedmont Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Piedmont Lake. So much exciting stuff to do at Piedmont Lake, so little time. Atwood Lodge Resort is a good location to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover  
   everything Piedmont Lake has to offer, you can camp at Tappan Lake Park.
Piedmont Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. Piedmont Dam is not far at all from Piedmont Lake; getting to Boggs Fork from Piedmont Lake is easy. This lake is so wonderful. Piedmont Lake is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Twin Hills Park is a fine site to
 
               camp nearby; if you're stopping by from Cambridge, you won't be the only one.
Not far from Piedmont Lake you stumble on Essex Bay; lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Van Horn Pond. If you need a place to stay Best Western Country Inn is a magnificent choice, and a striking lake like Clendening Lake is a good location to explore.

The lake and Tappan Lake Park are easily accessible by traveling on Rt. 250, and is just a short drive from I-77 and Rt. 22.

Boating, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, hunting, swimming and more are among the reasons visitors make their way to Tappan Lake each year. A campground of more than 500 sites at Tappan Lake Park accommodates visitors for a weekend, a week, month or more.
