In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on                  Paint Creek, and needless to say Plum Run is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the George Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Hillsboro Days Inn is a brilliant location to get some rest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Paint Creek Lake. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Paint Creek Lake called the Bench Trail; you can hit the slopes at Spicy Run Mountain in the vicinity. Paint Creek Lake is a rather wet place commonly with lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May while February is frequently the driest month.
