While you're here at Paint Creek Lake you can take a hike along the Fort Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Paint Creek offers some perfect whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Hillsboro, and as expected Cliff Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good       whitewater spots on Rocky Fork Creek, and Paint Creek Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Tanglewood Acres is a nice local campground. Paint Creek Lake is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. You'll stumble on a delightful lake called Hickory Hills Lake near Paint Creek Lake, and there are plenty of folks from Washington here. So much                  amusing stuff to do at Paint Creek Lake, so little time. Have a great hiking adventure along the Wildwood Trail, and Bald Knob can be distinguished from Paint Creek Lake.
