Hit the beach if you want, Turkeyfoot Beach is practically right here; do visit Long Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. At Lake Nesmith you always meet someone from Akron, and The Akron City Centre Hotel is a glorious spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Boston Mills is a brilliant local ski area, and Landing is a magnificent campground nearby. Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area is a very fine place to       check out close to Lake Nesmith. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Lake Nesmith get into the 80's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Nesmith. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cuyahoga River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Brandywine is pretty near. Feeder Race River flows through                  this neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at The Quaker Square Inn at the University of Akron. What a site this is for outdoors people. If you came for an overnight stay Clays Park Resort is a tremendous place to camp, and you'll discover a beautiful lake called Long Lake Channel. The annual rain here at Lake Nesmith is about average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest.
