Minnow Pond is not the only site close by, Beartown Lakes is a close by lake, and Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is a fine campground nearby. Paddling on Cuyahoga River is so much fun, and the Iroquois Trail offers hiking at its best. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Minnow Pond; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.       Minnow Pond is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Geauga Lake Campground is a delightful location to camp nearby; the smiling folks of Akron like to hang out nearby. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Minnow Pond; Mohawk Trail is a splendid local trail, and Brandywine is a very popular ski area close by. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area close to Minnow Pond has to offer. Chagrin River - Aurora Branch                  has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and after a long day outdoors Bertram Inn & Conference Center is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Not far from Minnow Pond you acquire some great water scenery at Beartown Lake Dam, and a trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area is recommended. High temperatures at Minnow Pond throughout the long summer days are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Minnow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Alpine Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff, and Aurora Inn Of Mario S International is a great location to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Minnow Pond.
