Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mims Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows all through the winter for Mims Lake tend to be in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. There's good hiking along the       Southwoods Trail; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Light Run. An exciting thing to explore near Mims Lake is Bethel Reservoir Dam; if you need a place to stay AmeriStay Batavia is a fine choice. Go for a hike on the Beechtree Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Big Indian Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
