If you are traveling by, why not stop by Millpond. During the summer at Millpond temperatures are typically in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Going for a hike on the Mohawk Trail is always a good adventure, and a day on the slopes of Alpine Valley is just what you need. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Millpond. Camping at Yogi
Bear's Jellystone Park is always a splendid experience, and don't miss out on a tour to Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area if you're here.
Near Millpond you hit upon the Mushers Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail; Millpond
is not far at all from Akron. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Chagrin River - Aurora Branch in a kayak, and an afternoon playing golf at Grantwood Golf Course is always a bliss.
A short tour to Chagrin Falls
is always worthwhile, and a good close by hotel is Bertram Inn & Conference Center. If you come at the right time of year, Chagrin River offers some splendid whitewater, and there are good places to explore along the Beach Trail.
The yearly precipitation here at Millpond is about average; June is when you get the most rain here while January is regularly the driest month.
