A great place to camp here at Lawrence Pond is Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp; Bern Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. At Lawrence Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's.

Beechtree Trail. You can run the rapids of Horner Run near Lawrence Pond, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Cincinnati-Middletown. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Little Miami River;
since you're here, you could also explore beautiful Gier Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Lawrence Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Miami Trails Hoa is a good local campground; going for a hike on the Southwoods Trail
is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lawrence Pond you come across the Lakeview Trail which is a great hiking trail; there's some interesting stuff to make out at Lawrence Pond Dam near Lawrence Pond.

Horner Run
 | Horner is a great run with 3 major drops from 6 feet to 10-11 feet, the only problem is the take out. First you could carry the mile and a half out a trail on river left, or go under interstate 275 through a 100 yard long tunnel scout the tunnel first for strainers, third you could walk several hundred yards up to 275 and get out on the interstate shoulder. With all this in mind you might as well say forget Horner and head for Halls creek or Hershel run. Both have way easier put-in's and take out's... |

 | 14 miles away Halls is a great run when it has water it is very hard to catch with good flow in it though. Ledges include a 10-12 footer (two of them) 4-5 foot and some nice smaller drops, it is a short run with a lot of action...... |
