Dry warm beds await you at Hillsboro Days Inn, and camping at Woodland Lake Campground is always a great experience. Lost Fork flows through this area, and at Lake of the Woods Dam right next door to Lake of the Woods there are some out of the ordinary things to see. This place, Lake of the Woods, it definitely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. While you're here at Lake of the Woods you can play       some golf at Rocky Fork Golf Course; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Seaman is a wonderful choice. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Rocky Fork Creek, and there's pleasant hiking along the Deer Loop Trail. Lake of the Woods gets a normal amount of annual rain; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is frequently the driest month. At Lake of the Woods all through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and during                  the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 30's, and night lows at Lake of the Woods during the wintertime typically dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lake of the Woods without first going for a hike along the Paw Paw Trail; camping is available at Shady Trails Campground. During your spree to Lake of the Woods you'll meet some people from Wilmington for sure, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Lee's Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
