During the months of summer highs here at Lake of the Woods reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lake of the Woods. From a precipitation point of view Lake of the Woods is a pretty common site; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Going       for a hike on the Deer Loop Trail is always a good adventure, and there are plenty of folks from Wilmington here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Seaman is a brilliant choice, and close by you stumble on the Paw Paw Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are fine places to discover along the George Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Spicy Run Mountain is a great site to do                  that. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Lost Fork is a stream you can stop at during your stay, and not far from Lake of the Woods you get some nice water scenery at Lake of the Woods Dam. Why not camp at Woodland Lake Campground while you're here at Lake of the Woods, and Lee's Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Hillsboro Days Inn, and a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Rocky Fork Creek.
