This lake is a natural lake made up of many springs. From the many arrow heads found around the lake there is no doubt that it was home to indiginous tribes at one time or another. In the early part of the 20th century it was a summer retreat for some people. In the late 60's early 70's it was a great venue for local bands to play and a summer park with swimming etc. as well.

Many people like to go to Lake O'Springs. Clays Park Resort is a great campground nearby; a day at Turkeyfoot Beach is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Canton-Massillon here at Lake O'Springs, and Lake Slagle is a great lake nearby.
Brandywine has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites Airport is a fine place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling
