Camping is available at Stonelick Lake State Park; not far from Lake Monterey you get some fine water scenery at Clermont NE Schools Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Monterey sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Lake Monterey is Clear Water Air Park, and Stonelick       Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. High temperatures at Lake Monterey during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Lake Monterey all through the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 10's. If the weather is good here at Lake Monterey, you can go for a hike along the Southwoods Trail, and you can run the rapids of Brushy                  Fork.
