My father's farm located next to the lake property allowed for great fishing to be had all year long. Yes, you may have to climb up and down a hill to get to where the fish are but it will be worth your while to go fishing at Lake Katherine. Lived there, done that. At Lake Katharine Dam near Lake Katherine there are some interesting things to see, and if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Franklin Valley Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Katherine is not the only place nearby, Hammertown Lake is a nearby lake, and there is a brilliant hiking       trail nearby called the The Gulf Trail. A common amount of rain falls here at Lake Katherine; most of the rain falls during August while February is ordinarily the driest month. Camping is available at Lazy Dog Camp-Resort; if you need a site to stay Days Inn Jackson is a good choice. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Jackson, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Acorn Trail. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even                  more cool stuff to do here at Lake Katherine. Take a little spree to Buckeye Creek since you're here at Lake Katherine; on a great day you can take a hike along the Old Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Summer at Lake Katherine arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's.
