Lahmers Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. During the warm days of summer at Lahmers Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lahmers Lake are in the 10's. Lahmers Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January.

Do you need permission to have a picnic in the park called Memory Park?...We stayed at Evergreen RV Park in Mt. Eaton. It is a new park and absolutely beautiful. Everything is state of the art -- even an indoor pool with a cover that opens by a sensor. Every site is landscaped with a fence, bushes and flowers. The people are very friendly. It has the nicest restrooms (and largest) that I have ever seen. I certainly will go back again.... |

Atwood Lake, situated in Tuscarawas and Carroll counties, is one of the state's top sailing and boating attractions. Managed by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, the lake was constructed in the 1930s for flood reduction and water conservation, but has turned into an outdoor recreational paradise. Boating, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, hunting, swimming and more are among the reasons visitors make their way to Atwood Lake each year. A 600-site campgrounds at Atwood Lake Park accommodates visitors for a weekend, a week, month or more. The park also is home to a full schedule of activities and events each year from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Two full-service marinas are located on the lake to serve visitors and guests. Reservations can be made by e-mail at atwood@mwcdlakes.com. (The MWCD also owns Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center, a 104-room full-service resort with a golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts and even 17 four-bedroom cottages located right beside the lake).
