La Due Reservoir, Geauga County, Ohio     User input for La Due Reservoir, Geauga County, Ohio: Dave Reyes: This is a relatively large lake (1500 acres) located in NE Ohio, at the intersection of state Rt 422 and Rt 44. The lake is managed by the Ohio Division of Wildlife. There are no camps or parks on the shore of the lake. The lake is part of the city of Akron water supply system. Access to the lake is limited to boating/fishing, and gasoline motors are not allowed. If you want to fish this lake, bring two trolling batteries as the lake is large. Fish to be caught include largemouth bass, crappie (white and black), channel catfish, yellow perch, bluegill, walleye and the occasional northern pike (rare, but according to the boathouse attendant, there are a few in the lake). A lake nearby is Akron City Reservoir, and Alpine Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff. Dry warm beds await you at Bertram Inn & Conference Center, and a pleasant place to camp here at La Due Reservoir is Hosmer Lake. Why not explore Bridge Creek Dam while you're here, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Chagrin River - East Branch. The summit of Welsh Hill can       be seen from La Due Reservoir, obviously you could also have a look at Pine Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. The annual rain here at La Due Reservoir is about average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. During the warm months at La Due Reservoir temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with                  winter lows in the 10's overnight here at La Due Reservoir. So many cool things to do here at La Due Reservoir, too brilliant to be true. If you go for the outdoors, you'll love La Due Reservoir. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Iroquois Trail; if you're here you can play some golf at Wicked Woods Golf Club. Camping is available at Camp Ho Mita KODA, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Creek. While you're here at La Due Reservoir you can take a hike along the Mohawk Trail, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Beach Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
