     There are plenty of folks from Chillicothe here at Knoles Pond, and Knoles Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sun Valley Campground is a fine local campground. Americas Best Value Inn is a great place to get some rest, and some of the water close by flows, like North Branch Indian Creek. High temperatures at Knoles Pond all through the summer months are in the 80's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's. All through the  
   winter highs are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Knoles Pond. Cox Hollow is a perfect site to spend some time at, and there's always Knoles Pond Dam to stop by in close proximity to Knoles Pond.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in close proximity to Knoles Pond has to offer. A lake close by is Caldwell Lake, and a golf course close by is Waverly Golf Club. A pleasant spot to camp here at Knoles
 
               Pond is Forest Haven Campground. From a rainfall point of view Knoles Pond is a reasonably typical site; May is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Chillicothe is a great choice, and if you get bored of Knoles Pond you could also check out nearby Stewart Lake.

...e of shade in the summer to our campground and sites, as well as a home to many different species of birds and wildlife. The sites overlooking the creek and ravine provide the best area for bird watching. This is a quiet, peaceful, family campground, away from the noises of the city and roads.

Here at Lake Hill campground, to provide for a safe and peaceful environment for all our guests, alcohol is not allowed. We also do not allow anyone to bring in their own fire wood, to prevent the spread of pests, especially the Emerald Ash Borer.

Our campground is situated on 65 acres of forested hills, with only 20 acres being developed into the campground. We offer large, private, shady sites, most with FHU, some sites upgraded to 50amp. This campground is not for those who prefer the resort quality accomidations, we are a bit more laid back. We don't have manicured lawns, but in the spring, the profussion of wild flowers sprinkled liberally in the grass almost make it a crime to mow it. (But we do!) We don't have meticuously maintained grounds that allow for the maximum number...

While the new gentleman running Tanglewood Acres are keeping the horse camp open, the camp does not seem to be pulling in as many horseback riders as they had hoped.  Could this be due to the economy?  Gas prices have gone down, and with the rains of this summer, they are hoping the trails will be dry the months of August/ September/October for some beautiful riding.  The local OHC county has maintained the trails for some time.  Let's not waste these trail in our Ohio Parks. ...
