Good hiking is available along the Beach Trail, and you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Alpine Valley. All through the warm days of summer at Lake Kelso temperatures are typically in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Kelso.       There are tremendous places to discover along the Erie Trail; if you came to camp Windrush Hollow Camp is a delightful place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Aurora Inn Of Mario S International. The amount of rain that falls at Lake Kelso is close to the national average; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Kellogg Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close                  by. There's so much to do here at Lake Kelso that you need to camp here for a while, Hosmer Lake is a perfect site for that. Renaissance Quail Hollow Resort is a good location to get some rest, and a golf course close by is Wicked Woods Golf Club. What a place this is for outdoors folks. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Creek, and don't leave Lake Kelso without first going for a hike along the Iroquois Trail.
