There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Kates Lake. Near Kates Lake you come across a golf course called Elks Run Golf Club; Stonelick Lake State Park is a tremendous local campground. Get soaked paddling on Backbone Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Clear Water Air Park is a good location to camp. There's tremendous hiking along the Beechtree Trail, and while you're here, you could       also pop by lovely Sunset Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Indian Creek, and the Southwoods Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Kates Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Kates Lake during the winter ordinarily plunge into the 10's. Why not                  visit close by Back Run while you're here at Kates Lake; a good close by hotel is AmeriStay Batavia. Do have a look at Roberts Lake in close proximity to Kates Lake, it's a pretty lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Kates Lake; Lakeview Trail is a great local trail.
