Go to Lake Isabel if you want to go to a nice lake. Don't forget to take a great little trip to Buckeye Fork, and Avondale Wildlife Area Dam Number One is a beautiful location. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Lake Isabel; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Buckeye Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Travelodge Of Zanesville.

The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Lake Isabel tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Wild Bill's Resort, and a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Wakatomica Creek.

the only location nearby, Avondale Wildlife Area Reservoir Number One is a nearby lake, and Zanesville Super 8 Motel is a great spot to get some rest. You could also pop by Avondale Wildlife Area Reservoir Number Two if you're here
at Lake Isabel; it's close by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Isabel; Wild Cat Hollow Hiking Trail is a great local trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you came for an overnight stay Wolfie's Family Camping is a tremendous place to camp, and you can run the rapids of Licking River.
