Hosterman Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Little Miami River offers some pleasant whitewater; Hosterman Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Forest Lake Camping and Fishing is a brilliant local campground. You imagine       that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Going for a hike along the Arboretum Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; if you need a spot to stay Fairfield Inn By Marriott Springfield is a great choice. Here at Hosterman Lake there are plenty of folks from Springfield; why not have a look at Hosterman Lake Dam while you're here. After a long day outdoors Springfield Knights Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. There's so much                  to do here at Hosterman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Enon Beach Recreation Park is a glorious location for that. Forest Hill Par 3 Golf Course is a great golf course nearby, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Orton Memorial Trail. This lake is so wonderful. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Hosterman Lake get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hosterman Lake are in the 10's.
