Don't leave Guffey Lake without first going for a hike along the Ghost Hedge Nature Trail, and a perfect nearby hotel is Fairfield Inn By Marriott Middletown. Go for a hike on the Heron Run Trail, and camping at Cedarbrook Campground is always a tremendous experience. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Jamaica Run Golf Club not far from Guffey Lake, and Quality Inn Franklin       is a brilliant spot to get some rest. Guffey Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Lots of people from Dayton come to Guffey Lake, and hey, Little Twin Creek is a magnificent local stream. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Guffey Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Brookville Koa Kampground is a good                  local campground, and going for a hike on the Beech Ridge Trail is always a perfect adventure. High temperatures at Guffey Lake during the summer months are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Guffey Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
