A nice nearby hotel is Comfort Suites Hilliard; Julian Griggs Dam is a charming spot, definitely worth a visit. Olentangy River is a pleasant whitewater spot near Griggs Reservoir, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Columbus here. And that's not all you can do here at Griggs Reservoir. Camping at Griggs Reservoir is great fun, Alton Campground is a great local campground,       and you can run the rapids of Scioto River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Griggs Reservoir. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's; overnight lows at Griggs Reservoir through the wintertime generally dip into the 10's.
