Stay the night at Indian Springs Campground, and Imperial House Hotel is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Summertime highs at Green Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 30's, and overnight lows at Green Lake through the wintertime regularly sink into the 10's. | | Long Island Beach is in close proximity. Here at Green Lake there are plenty of people from Cincinnati-Middletown, and the Blue Jacket Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby.

the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Perfect North, and nearby you'll discover a wooded region called Mitchell Memorial Forest.

can get bored here at Green Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Green Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hickory Lake Campground; Gunpowder Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. Very fine water

| Having paddled the 70 miles of the Great Miami, the WW is great for beginners or rec paddlers wanting to have a little excitement added to their trip. Water Quality is good, in fact it can be better then the Little Miami during low water. Best time to hit the GM is when it is running between 2500cfs and 3800cfs (Hamilton USGS gage if your looking for some WW. There isn't too many places in the summer in the Midwest you can find good water and waves, but the Great Miami still flows well in August....50 hole is not much of a surf and it is a porta john....... |

wow thats crazy......r crosses camp ernst rd there is not much water most times of the year. but one spring day a thunder storm had just pass and go over and when we came throuh ole gunpowder was cooking pretty good we went and got his canoe and put in at the bridge thier at camp ernst rd. the water was white caping man we were moving really fast it was great. we went about a mile when we saw a tree that had fallen all the way across the creek we started to paddle for the bank when we got up to the bank i push to get us on the bank and my paddle broke in half in my hand. so here we are about a mile down creek with one paddle.so much for old wooded paddles we packed the canoe around the tree and put back in well needless to say its hard to steer a canoe with one paddle . we met the first tree limb that was hanging over it knock our butts out of the boat .were going down the creek with the canoe upside down . there is no getting your footing . we finally got to a calm spot i guess a deep pool were we could get to the bank flip the canoe upright and proceed again it wasnt very long til the same type of d... |
