Lake Estabrook, Geauga County, Ohio     User input for Lake Estabrook, Geauga County, Ohio: Dave Reyes: What's left of the lake is on Rt 700, NE of Parkman, OH at Latitude: 412256N and Longitude: 0810431W.  Around yr 2000, the dam at the West end of the lake broke and the lake drained.  All that's left is the creek that was originally dammed to make the lake, along with the broken dam. Camp Chicagami is a Boy Scout camp located on the shore of where the lake used to be.  It was about a 30 acre lake, and it's a shame that it's gone now. If you came for an overnight stay Kool Lakes Campground is a magnificent spot to camp, and don't leave Lake Estabrook without first going for a hike along the Clubmoss Trail. There's tremendous hiking along the Beech Ridge Trail, and Holiday Inn Express Lordstown/Newton Falls(Warren is a pleasant site to get some rest. Camping at Lake Estabrook is nice fun, Papa Joe's       Family Campground is a nice local campground, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to catch a glimpse of at Shangri-La Ski Club Dam close to Lake Estabrook. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Newton Falls; the slopes of Alpine Valley are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Beaver Run Trail, and Big Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. Lake                  Estabrook is a relatively wet place generally with a lot of rain; most of the rain falls through June, and the driest of the months is February. Looking for something close to Lake Estabrook? Moss Beach Club Lake is in close proximity, and whitewater paddling is good on Grand River. Summer at Lake Estabrook comes with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's.
