Around yr 2000, the dam at the West end of the lake broke and the lake drained. All that's left is the creek that was originally dammed to make the lake, along with the broken dam. Camp Chicagami is a Boy Scout camp located on the shore of where the lake used to be. It was about a 30 acre lake, and it's a shame that it's gone now. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Lake Estabrook. Shangri-La Ski Club Dam is a spot that is in the vicinity of Lake Estabrook; there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Beech Ridge Trail. Do have a look at Owen Pond in the neighborhood of Lake Estabrook, it's a charming lake, and you can run the rapids of Grand River. On a glorious day at Lake Estabrook you can take a hike       along the Clubmoss Trail; Lake Estabrook is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, Papa Joe's Family Campground is a delightful site to camp nearby. Skiing at Alpine Valley is one of those things you just should do; if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Newton Falls is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. The Beaver Run Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close to Lake Estabrook, and there's whitewater on Big Creek for all you adrenaline                  kick people. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Lake Estabrook reach the 70's while night lows are usually in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Lake Estabrook. This lake is so wonderful. A lovely lake like Moss Beach Club Lake near Lake Estabrook is a nice place to stop by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Estabrook a wet place; June is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
