You'll need more than a day to look at everything Eppley Pond has to offer, you can camp at American Wilderness Campground, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Brentwood Lake is just a       very short distance away. From a rainfall point of view Eppley Pond is a relatively normal spot; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Dry warm beds await you at Elyria Howard Johnson Inn, and Eppley Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Maples is a great place to camp nearby. For the period of the days of summer here at Eppley Pond, high temperatures commonly                  reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Eppley Pond dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rocky River - North Branch; as expected Salt Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth a visit. You don’t have to go far from Eppley Pond to distinguish the water at Eppley Pond Dam, and at Eppley Pond you always meet someone from Ashland. Indian Hollow Lake Golf Course is a nice golf course nearby, unsurprisingly you could also have a look at Grafton Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all.
