Really fine skiing awaits you at Perfect North; a good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express CINCINNATI WEST. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Hillview Golf Course not far from Dream Valley Lake, and as expected, this is a good area for folks who like lakes, Chateau Lakes Number One is a lake close at hand. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Dream Valley Lake has to offer. There's delightful hiking along

| | the Little Turtle Trail, and paddling on Great Miami River is so much fun. During the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Dream Valley Lake while night lows are regularly in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dream Valley Lake.

you need to camp here for a while, KOA Campgrounds is a great place for that. The wonderful folks of Cincinnati-Middletown like to hang out nearby, and drift down the rapids of Banklick Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful.
The Blue Jacket Trail offers hiking at its best.
Dream Valley Lake is a good site of common precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. Dream Valley
Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Hamilton County Park District is a splendid local campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Chateau Lakes Number Two.

Great Miami River
| Having paddled the 70 miles of the Great Miami, the WW is great for beginners or rec paddlers wanting to have a little excitement added to their trip. Water Quality is good, in fact it can be better then the Little Miami during low water. Best time to hit the GM is when it is running between 2500cfs and 3800cfs (Hamilton USGS gage if your looking for some WW. There isn't too many places in the summer in the Midwest you can find good water and waves, but the Great Miami still flows well in August....50 hole is not much of a surf and it is a porta john....... |

wow thats crazy......ve up gunpowerder about a mile from me. we always talked about taking his canoe through this stretch. what i guess i should tell you where gunpowder crosses camp ernst rd there is not much water most times of the year. but one spring day a thunder storm had just pass and go over and when we came throuh ole gunpowder was cooking pretty good we went and got his canoe and put in at the bridge thier at camp ernst rd. the water was white caping man we were moving really fast it was great. we went about a mile when we saw a tree that had fallen all the way across the creek we started to paddle for the bank when we got up to the bank i push to get us on the bank and my paddle broke in half in my hand. so here we are about a mile down creek with one paddle.so much for old wooded paddles we packed the canoe around the tree and put back in well needless to say its hard to steer a canoe with one paddle . we met the first tree limb that was hanging over it knock our butts out of the boat .were going down the creek with the canoe upside down . there is no getting your footing . we finally got ... |
