There's great hiking along the Acorn Trail, naturally you could also take a look at Camp Francis Asbury Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Dry warm beds await you at Jackson-Days Inn, and do stop by Donta Pond Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Natural Gorge Trail; Donta Pond is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Lazy Dog Camp-Resort is a nice place       to camp nearby. Summertime at Donta Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Donta Pond. Having a good time at Donta Pond is uncomplicated. Donta Pond gets a normal amount of annual rain; through July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is January.
