Crane Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Harbor Hills Country Club is a great way to kill some time. For the period of the warm months at Crane Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Crane Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. Camping

Crane Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Buckeye Lake/Columbus East KOA is a wonderful local campground; on a delightful day you get a glorious panorama of Observatory Hill from Crane Lake. - Buckeye Lake is a nice place to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, Licking River offers some magnificent whitewater. Crane Lake is right next door to Buckeye Lake Dam which is a stunning place without doubt
worth visiting; swamps like Cranberry Marsh are fun to check out. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Crane Lake, so little time. If you need a site to stay Best Western Lakewood Inn is a good choice, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Rocky Fork.
