After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn Lancaster is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. An average amount of rainfall falls at Cook Pond; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. There are great locations to look at along the Squawroot Nature Trail, of course you could also take a look at Moe       Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. If you came for an overnight stay Campgrounds is a glorious location to camp, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lancaster is a pleasant spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Sassafras Horse Trail is always a good adventure, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Westchester Golf Course. Glide down the rapids of Hocking River in a kayak, and a lake close by is Morse Pond. Throughout                  the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Cook Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's while Cook Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Why not camp at Jackson Lake Park if you're here at Cook Pond, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Columbus for sure. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the vicinity of Cook Pond.
