Burgess Lake is a glorious lake in close proximity to Collier Lake;       going for a hike on the Dogwood Trail is always a pleasant adventure. For the period of the summertime at Collier Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Collier Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little Beaver Creek, and an afternoon playing golf at Countryside Golf Course is always a bliss. Collier Lake Dam is striking and it's close to Collier Lake, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Vondergreen Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Collier Lake.
